This book is probably not terrible but it keeps referencing a fictitious company called Consolidated Messengers and continues to instruct the user to open web sites that can't possibly exist. By working through the steps of developing a SharePoint site with the Designer, I feel much more comfortable using the designer to customize site design. I have avoided SharePoint Designer because of the reluctance to unghost pages. I also develop solutions in Visual Studio to incorporate workflows which work across sites. I like setting up new lists and sites to organize business data for my co-workers.
